Re: Luau 2018

Maybe in this year - looking at a few days in the upper GV / Bondurant area at that time and once the YNP roads open the drive from the Hole to Buffalo Bill isnt awful.

Re: Friday Cheer Through Pics

Since I'm not fishing, and spending most of my nights in the rod shop, here are pair of big glass rods built on blanks I developed with Mike McFarland in 2016. Big ass American glass for big ass American redfish on the flats.

Re: Iceland, with payment

You can fish the north end of Thingvallavatn (Thingvellir Lake) with a permit obtainable at the visitor center. Highly recommend - I spent 2 hours there and banked 2 brown trout over 10 lbs. I also fished Laugarvatn (a shallow but fairly large lake) not far from Thingvellir National Park, and parked...

Do you favor applications with demo glass listed under "community service"?

I'm in for as many days as I can wrangle. Living in Mt Pleasant now, but kid #3 is due on 30 July. I'll have a yak of my own but that's it, and if kid 3 comes early, one of you jokers is welcome to scuff it up. With 2 kids and a very pregnant wife OR 3 kids, one of which is a newborn, at the time of...

Re: A Long Way to Go - TR

I'm the only dude who buzzed past the bake - but I'd drive across the damn planet to fish with these guys. With a real job under my belt, more trips will be on the docket for next fall.

Re: A Long Way to Go - TR

Exactly as it happened. Perhaps upon our return we should ask Fr. Pablo to have the Lawd bestow BIG fish upon us motherf*ckers. If we're gonna ask... Great to see you guys; best part of the trip hands down. That could have been debatable had the catching of big fish been better, though. Pinners, dude.

Re: Perspective

Like some of yous (yinz?) who didn't have a fishing dad (hell, mine wasn't and isn't to this day an outdoorsman past gardening and tossing a baseball or football with me and my brothers), I had to figure things out the hard way. Yeah, I had a brother who liked to fish stillwaters with bait and perha...
