You can tell this was in the relative early days of the internet because it's actually good discussion. When people wrote online the way they'd speak in real life... and still read books. I don't really want to think about how long ago I started hanging out on here- not the earliest of early days, ...

Yard, perhaps we should schedule a meeting there. Caught my very first swinging a fly at the Deadline, in 1986, I believe. Got three more the next day and spent the rest of the week without a pull thus getting my daily average down to a much more appropriate level. Things have not been the same sin...

I spent two weeks in that park for a residency summer before last. I'm still waiting for it to settle in my head, as it's too overwhelming to just start knocking out paintings that I care about. Just amazing. Though as you said, amazingly crowded. Seeing it with snow had to be great.
