gg,n I just typed a whole long diatribe about how one could modify this bb to allow for easy uploading and image inserting into posts. If you want to have a geek discussion about it, let me know and I can talk to my web guru about some slick solutions. jed

P. Adams,n I think December is a little alte for NYC, but I am not sure. I have caught Stripers in New England in December and my friend does it all year long, but they are usually schoolies and only in certain places. That being said, it is probably close enough in time and this year seems to be ru...

"do any stripers swim 1,000 miles upsteam to spawn" No they swim 1,000 miles then go upstream and eat trout and salmon for lunch! Stripers migrate from Maine to the Carolina's so a thousand miles is no big sweat. As for fishing with Micus... as soon as they let him out of his padded cell he might b...

Striper. 'cause a 4 lb Trout is not an issue to catch on a 4wt, bt try a 4lb striper on one and you'll hae a heck of a time. On the other hand the trout is much prettier and that counts for something.I've caught a 4 lb trout on 6x (3lb test) tippet. Anyone ever even think about using something like ...

I don't get steelheadatosis because I've never targeted steelies. I have so much going on that I tend to try and keep that out of the mix. That being said, I have Stripertosis real bad. I live about 2 hrs from any Striper fishing and all year long I spend time looking longingly in an eastern or sout...

The visitors center is about a year old. It is in the old Thomas and Thomas building. Smithhammer- farting... cutting edge. VERY PUNNY!I dropped off two trout, about 8 and 10 inches. That is about all the tank can support. Tomorrow I will see about some pumpkinseeds and some blue gill. I went to get...

I was asked to collect some fish for a display at the Silvo Conte National Wildlife Refuge's Discovery Center in Turners Falls MA. This task is to get some local fish, small in size for tanks so that people in the area can view what native species are in our area. I am excited about this project as ...

This thread totally misses the point. Micus, I forgive you for your ignorance as you are still young, inspite of the fact that you are follically challenged.Lets step back from our low brow humor and look at this a little more scientifically. Are all bird calls the same? NO!n Some attract birds and o...

Bass are preditors and will often look for places to hide. As WT said, the dark spots... provide camo for them. Structure i.e. weeds, fallen trees or old stumps and rocks all make good hiding places for them. Shore line that has indentations make places for them to find and trap bait fish. I tend to...

I bought a less expensive LL Bean's Emerger wader becuase I knew they'd leak in a year or two and I could return them forever and make the warranty be fair. I've had them for 4 years and there has not been a single drop of water leaking in. Go figure...jed
