Dave L,n Right now we are experienceing VERY high water so fishing is not so good, but normally I have the Millers, Deerfield, Swift and Westfield to choose from. All of which hold very nice trout. Don't be jealous, be a visitor! As for wardens, I have never met one on any of those rivers. Not that ...

Dave, this photo was not about the beer, but something else. It just goes to prove that you should return to those regular AA meetings your parole officer suggested. This is one of the few times that I'll say "Yyou take the beer, I'll take the beer holder."jed

I now have one after almost getting really banged around in some fast water. Then I was saved by having a buddy that I could hold on to so we could extricate ourselves together. I then bought one from Cabelas for about $40 and I try to remember to use it when I'm of fast waters, new waters or when I...

I went out fishing, found some redds and spent a long time just watching. The Blue Heron (in lower left corner) flew overhead and landed about 20' behind me. I turned and walked up within 15 feet and took this photo. In the middle of the stream is an 8 point Buck in full rutting color. I might have ...

I live in Western MA. I'm one of those Massholes, but I fish 80% here in the western part of Mass which has some great waters with nice Trout and Bass. The other 20% I fish the salt in New England and occaisionally in Fla. Can't say which one I prefer but I do know I'm damned glad I don't have to ch...

Yesterday I went to Orvis to look at their chest or fanny packs. I wanted to find a simple large fanny pack to hold a few boxes of Saltwater flies and some tippets, clippers and "stuff". What I desired was one large pocket and one small pocket. What I saw at Orvis was comical.Their chest/ fanny pack...

I have fished with some of these aforementioned reprobates. As for d.micus, I spent a night in a motel with him. I will not go into great detail, but suffice it to say if I ever do that again I will wear my waders to bed with not one but two belts.Evil Dave deserves his name. I will say no more.Flat...

I must be one of those old guys who does not care what I look like. For fresh water a vest works fine for me as it has lots of places to seperate things. In the salt, its a different matter. There I have been using a large simple LLBean fanny pack. A big pocket for three fly boxes and a small one fo...
