http://www.law.harvard.edu/faculty/directory/index.html?id=552&show=bibliography He has written some lengthy and odd pieces. His belief in cost - benefit analysis/test for regulation is alarming. I need to read his book Risk and Reason to come to a better understanding, but from what I gather, it's...

You serious spirit guys don't even rate Jim Beam on a scale do you? I think it is a wonderful perfectly acceptable every day drinker. The Black is great, very smooth. I prefer this to lots of other, much more expensive drinks. I've only had the Green once, it wasn't bad, but my everyday White gets ...

Yes, Yes, and Yes Bob. 1.Rev. Elijah is sometimes credited with the birth of bourbon, as is Dr Crow. 2.I drank, from a friend's bil's open bottle, and lost a few extra brain cells 15 yrs ago. the bil was no friend. 3.Applejack goes well with cold weather aint nothin wrong with EW, other than the afo...

Gentlemen: No I will not... 50 years ago I said fuck you rush chairman...that said I shall respond... no respectable bourbon drinker would call for it in a Manhattan. The call is Rye first(recall the Whisk/Rebellion)... second Canadian...and it should be 86 proof not 80 if you can find it sometimes...

Bourbon only comes from Kentucky. Everything else is whiskey or scotch depending on its geography/constituents. I'll go back to what you said here gheybait. Its flat out wrong. You are wrong when you say it is so. Thoroughbreds, bourbon, and pretty wimmen are all highly developed in Ky, but they ca...

Ok lemme ask myself, "self, you live in KY right?" "Yep, sure do." "Good, does Bourbon have to come from KY?" "Nope, ask anyone in the trade who makes it, like the men mentioned above(you know the master distillers), Bill Samuels (makers Mark) Fred Noe (Jim Beam), or Julian Van Winkle(PVW) or Chris ...

What do they charge for Weller in TX? I pay $13.50 a fifth in KY. Knob Creek is $22.50 after discount. I usually drink either neat. Speybait, it doesn't have to come from KY to be bourbon. Virginia Gentleman and VG gold are both bourbon. The real kicker is the "Aged in NEW Oak Barrels" for a minimum...

The high levels of Pappy's and Rip Van Winkle's are the finest bourbons made. That said, the family bourbon is WL Weller. Damn, I recall cussing at you at one point El Colonel. hat in my hand. You just described my cabinet. WL Weller, Antique Weller, RVW 10, PVW...all good stuff. There's some of th...

Get a 5 gallon bucket, dump some Borax in it, load the feathers in it quills pointed down into the Borax. Shake it around. No water, all dry. Forget about it for a few weeks. I shot a few grouse in October, a couple of fans were quality enough to use as display. I spread them and held them open on a...

Thanks Bob, I enjoyed that article the first time I reckon, and recall parts of it. It pulled some fodder from my own memory banks. This is the first year in 7 I haven't made the pilgrimage to the upper prairies and chased those species you walked up. I can hear the laughter form your loader. Charle...
