Sweet post! The raft shocker looks awesome. I've got a few places where that thing could be put to use. I'm fortunate (or unfortunate depending on how you look at it) to get to use shocking equipment pretty regularly at work and am always amazed at where fish will come blasting out of (usually tires...

Mexico: Captivating to say the least. My life suddenly feels very, very boring after reading that. I'm all for the guys that are in the industry making a buck here and there, but the average bum who likes tying flies is going to get fucked until this craze dies out. Hopefully the guys raising the ya...

Thalweg and I tried the Petitjean heads last year on both the musky flies and the smaller Puglisi flies like the one you tied above. It seemed to us, the Petitjean heads were a waste on the heavier musky flies. They didn't give the fly anymore action than without, and you're throwing a fly with tha...

The misses got her tonsils taken out this week, so I took advantage of the time between playing nurse to get some shit done. You'll have to tell me how the ptejean (or whatever) cones work for you. I've used them in the past and never like them but you may find more luck than I did. Will do. I've n...

Looks good. A lot like a popular smallie fly up this way that f*carp tied up for a bass swap a while ago and got rave reviews from the guys here. No need for a trailer. If a smallies going to eat it, he is going to try to rip the damn head off of the thing and find the hook in the process. I'm sure ...

Glad you guy's like it. I think the stuff I used for the head is called Poly marabou made by Troutsman enterprises or something like that. Then I just made it into a dubbing brush. The poly marabou stuff is a lot like water silk of Congo hair Just a little softer. Eh shit. One more material to buy....

Had a LM that I used for bass fishing in the weeds and light musky stuff. It was nice, but kind of wierd to cast with the short length of the rod and short-head line. If I was switching rods between a 9' and the 7'11" Bass rod, my casting stroke would get all sorts of fucked up. In the end, I dumped...

Probably best to just post the directions on the thread. I think I know how to go about this, but then again I'm probably wrong.
