I think we need to look back historically to how this problem has been fixed in the past. If you disagree with me, perhaps you could give examples of how spending money you don't have has ever fixed any problem and not made it worse . I agree w/you about the automakers, dont know if I would go as f...

Let some of these bastards fail. Seems as though every company is 'to big to fail". GM needs to re-negotiate with the union. Paying a bunch of lazy fucks to sit in some hall playing cribbage collecting a big percentage of their pay is ridiculous. Some banking companies need to fail and the market w...

Or, are you simply okay w/say a 20% economic contraction and massive (read 50 million) unemployment? Um yes. The unemployment rate is about 7.5%. During the depression is was over 30%. making comparisons is alarmist at best. What happened to 'Hope over Fear". My question was: what market mechanism,...

what do you suggest we do, if this stiumulus is the wrong way, what is the right way? Or, are you simply okay w/say a 20% economic contraction and massive (read 50 million) unemployment? I don't answer questions when my opinion has been assigned in the question... no assignment of opinions here, bo...

if they think all this spending sucks they must be right of Reagan and to blame for everything. I dont like this spending either, but I also see a market economy that is totally seized up. Money is practically free right now the fed funds rate is so low, yet lending rates are dismal. I have practic...

Interesting example. In most cases that I can think of, it's the government that has protected that access/lands for the public, and private interests that are seeking to take it away. In MT, the state even footed the legal bill for our last SCt battle with the stockfarm numbnuts in the bitterroot....

Screw the fishing and check out the impressionist paint at the Art Institute of Chicago. One of the best collections in the world. Chicago is a great food town with lots of ethnic fare and street food. With global warming in full tilt the streets should be swinging with carts. “No Reservations”...

No rebate check this year. If they can sign the stimulus bill in a timely fashion, which does include tax cuts for this fiscal year in it currently, you will get a pretty hefty refund. Dont know the specifics, but depending on your personal situation, it could be a significant amount of ching. Stay ...

Are you defending your own use of "humbly submit" by pointing out how original you thought it was? That's ghey, but this thread isn't about you so I'll move on, but yer still a ghey. No, I was joking, something i apparently need to work on. I was the one to first use the phrase for my intro last we...
