Wannabee, that reminds me of one of my first few times fishing some local flats for tailing reds. I kayaked out there with another fellow and while wading he said to me "watch out for that rattler".

I looked down at one of the larger rattlers I'd ever seen swimming right at me in knee deep water from abuot 30' away. I moved out of his way and he swam right on by. Really made me pay attention to what was going on at my '6 for the rest of that summer. Haven't seen another one out there since.

All the bass I saw on my home river today were THICK.



Very happy to see them thriving after us finally having a wet year last year.

There was LOADS of bait in there too, even including some 10" gizzard shad.

Man we did catch a shite ton of fish. I never caught so many Guadalupe Bass in my life, to bad I dont have any pics. But that guy in the foreground looks familiar.
