nah, it was the green distance line.Oldog wrote:did you overline that 4 wt rod with an eight weight line?
nope, i'm not "cool"... it's just an empty ziploc that had some old leaders in it. it does look like there's something in there, but you're just looking through it to the wood table.fullwells wrote:Bottom right corner of the tarpon gear image, little nuggets?
i hope so. they (the Mexican fish) are here now, but so is the wind so you can't get out the pass or jetties to them and the bays have 2 foot chop on them and look like yoohoo.Plow wrote:I'd rather get a hand job with 60 grit than drink bud lite (or any lite).
Forget about tarpon, they're going to turn around when they hit the spill.
IF they turn around when they hit the oil we'll all be happier than pigs in shit, but i'm afraid getting oil in their air bladders/on the gills is gonna kill a bunch of them... of course later this summer when currents in the gulf change that oil might be over here.
and the bud lite was shit prop scar left in my truck after our last outing to his private water to scout some dove. i was thirsty and too lazy to drive to the store.
really...where is this?BigCliff wrote:I know a guy that's caught some 3lb bass out of that pond.
It was no big deal.
yeah, that's what i thought.
fishing is about function, not fashion. only insecure uppity mountain trout fags would give a shit about what they look like when fishing (truch, you know this to be true)...of course catching palm-sized fish dudn't do much to make you look very cool so i guess you need all the help you can get.Truchero wrote:Only a flats goon would think this shit is right...
but seriously, i got a call from truch about fishing the next day and i told him i didn't have trout fag boots (and it was too late to go get a pair). he said the neo flats ones i use down at the coast will work good enough so i called another buddy (prop) to bum a pair of (leaky) waders that were big enough (i don't own waders/have no use for them). the neo feet on those waders made the flats booties so tight it was killing me, but fortunately it was so fucking cold that morning that my feet were numb after 10 minutes.
cinch some knots tight on 80 & 100 lb fluoro without gloves and you'll understand.Long Haired Dave wrote:what's with the gloves in the last pic, pussy?
oh yeah, space coast fish are easy...ask floodtide.
