I live relatively close to Mary Jane Ski Area. A few days ago they reported 17 feet of snow and it's snowed more than a foot since then. n I've lived up here since the mid 80s and the snowfall this winter has been incredible... I don't recall a snowier year. We're gonna have a HUGE runoff this year.n There has been a nonstop stream of dump trucks transporting snow out of town. Summit County (Frisco area) may even have more snow than us... I've heard reports that they're running out of areas to transport their excess snow to.n How's your part of the country faring this winter?

It's in the 50s here in Maryland. Annual winter backpacking trip this weekend is short on the "winter" part...

I live in one of the snowiest areas around and we've had nothing but a few rain showers in the past 2 weeks. We're definitely way below normal for the season. The ground is bare at my house. Some areas north of me, in the big lake-effect areas east of Lake Ontario still have a couple of feet on the ground. It's 54 degrees right now. This shit aint right. Mebbe it's the pocky-lips!

Well shit, that sounds like the grooviest ski area of all! Do they have munchie vendors on the slopes?
Well shit, that sounds like the grooviest ski area of all! Do they have munchie vendors on the slopes?
No, but there are many makeshift rasta-cabins strategically located deep in the trees between some steeper runs on the Jane side. You have to be a local and an exceptional skier/boarder to find them....n .... it IS the grooviest ski area of all. IMHO - best bump skiing in the state.

What is snow? I have'nt seen snow fall in my area in four years. I have to drive up into the Appalachians to see it. I love fishing/hunting in the snow. When someone refers to snow down here, they are usually talking about their drug habit.

It's not snowing, but Oregon has been getting dumped on with the rain. I'm starting my giant boat this weekend and hopefully I can start collecting animals next week
