BM, sounds like you trust the man upstairs, and that trust does not come easily or even naturally. However, in this world, having it is all that matters. You're doing it right. Thanks for the read and flicks. I especially liked that pic in JH. :cool

Somehow, I missed this when it was originally posted???

My 'baby' girl just turned 17 yesterday.
I've spent some time remembering the day she was born, that life-changing moment when I first
laid eyes on that tiny purplish angel, covered in her own poop.
I can't even imagine what it would have been like to lose her.

All the best to you & your'n, BM; keep movin' that sand! :cool

Cool, and you didn't even have to bring in the heavy equipment!

I think the "BM" on this mound actually stands for "bowel movement"; one of Franzen's, if I'm not mistaken...

Thanks to all of you who expressed concern for my state of mind. Haha. Yeah I'm still crazy.

I had finished the latest installment of one of my stories and was digging thru my music just when I hit that song. It hit me sideways and I got a little nostalgic. What a fine line we run between life and death.
Between the beautiful and the tragic.

I'm sitting here typing this out and my cat keeps laying on my satellite radio antenna outside the window ..... It breaks up and distorts the jazz.
Thanks y'all it's all good.

I shoulda posted this one.

[report]October 11

Awake
The clear moonlight glints the blades of the ceiling fan

20 years

October 11

I kiss her on the cheek

I grab my rod and head to the beach

October 11

I ease in up to my knees

The moon is bright

No sign of the sun

Load the rod push it forward

Strip strip strip

Cast

Strip again

It's dark and I can hear splashes further out

It sounds like murder

Strip strip

20 years

Lost in the rhythm

I cry

Cast again

No hits on this place I dubbed " the Dead Sea "

It doesn't matter

Cast again

It all seems good in the dark

20 years

It's so peaceful

The water is warm on my feet

I can feel it

20 years

What if .........

I'm alive

It's getting light now

I'm somber but renewed from this conversation

I walk back slowly.

I'm not alone.
