Walked down the hill

River at a good level and nice and clear for being inside a city of 9 million assheads

This is the result but still, can you catch trout on the river that runs right through your city?

Fishing started slow, then him

So on went this beauty, I've always loved tying fan wing dry flies but I can't actually say I've ever tied on one, so on it went.

Then I went to fucking work on those browns, sick little guys could eat enough of it. Insatiable for the fan wing. Amazing.

fish after fish ate the fly

Here it is out there on the water

Closer look

lotta fish yesterday, yes sir

It was so good I clipped the barb on this fly and gave it a try

tie it like this

Up and out!

I used to always carry a fan wing Royal Coachman. Mostly because it was beautiful and at the time that was a popular fly. Nice to see the fan wing adams.

No shit? I haven't had the nuts to do that yet. Don't know why, they're just stupid flies after all.
So, you still haven't watched a McPhail video yet? Liar.

My middle name is Patrick and my first name is Scott. When I was a kid and my mom was pissed at me, she'd yell "SCOTTP GET YOUR ASS DOWN HERE!!" So I think of her every time you write something.

I swear on my life.
I heard a rumour he always wears the same shirt, mind.

confession: when I say atlantic salmon flies at lake trout I meant hairwings and reduced classics. I wasn't chucking green highlanders about... sorry.
I will chuck proper flies when we all meet up in scotland. I promise.

Ag, good times!

" can you catch trout on the river that runs right through your city" I never fish for them but I have caught sturgeon, coho, chinook, and steelhead in my downtown. We don't have 9 million bogarting the joint but far too high per capita of anglers!
