The Backyard Blue Line

Ain't gonna lie... When I see some of the TR's from locales I only get to drool over when I'm online, it's tough. Especially some of that quality stuff TX throws up, or from you boys in the Rockies. But, I have my own local less than 10 minutes from the house and, while it's not known for large fish (8-10" is a trophy), it's still a place I can go to get my head on straight.

Today, it gave up some good stuff, though, and I was happy to share it with a buddy of mine from another forum. Closed out the day with a tasty Coconut Porter and called it good. In a slight violation of Drake protocol, I had to include Sean's mug as he's holding the largest local I've ever seen brought to hand. God have mercy on his soul...... Hope you enjoy the pics.

I'll take a little solitude over trophy fish any day. That place looks pretty nice. :cool

Good stuff. Don't get much better than crawling around a small stream.

(never seen an external urinary collection device worn outside the waders before...new Orvis product?)

Damn, I hope not. Forgot my vest and all of the chi-chi's so I had to use his 'collection device' a few times for water. :cool

Yep. Sean has been creekin' with that 7' 3wt Lamiglass for as long as I've known him. He's refinished it at least twice that I know of. Lasted longer than his marriage.
