Waded into the spirits of Scotland the other night. Had a friend bring some bottles over for a taste.

Dalmore 12yr
Monkey Shoulder blended
Balvenie Carribean Cask 14yr

First round the Dalmore impressed me the most. We sipped a few Americans for a while and came back to Scotland for another round, skipping the Monkey Shoulder. The Balvenie impressed us both over the Dalmore the second time. My first real try at some good Scotches. I came away impressed.

And are usually to blame. Unless it's the Russians of course.

The standout one for the evening was the Deanston Bordeaux cask matured. only 9 years old but the depth was awsome

Someone is making a killing selling fake rare scotch.

My first thought was that Mitch and the CC might have something to do with this.

My second thought as well.
