I made the mistake of fully removing the tag end from the buckle and i'm fucking stumpped

tag end of the hook goes up thru the top slot, into the lower slot, make it snug, and push the handle down to create the desired tension.

The same strap that came with my boat... Thankfully it was strung up when I got it but Elias is right, you have the handle pointed toward you when you thread it and fold it back away to crank it tight.

Now where is that picture of the backwards boat launch?
That sounds awesome in my ears!! (P-A)
