just to be warn you, there are not many fish this trip. in fact there was 1 fish, but today was about much more than numbers. I have a very close friend who is going to be a daddy, and there due date is 2 weeks after the day my wife and I are expecting our first little boy. when I started fishing back in the day this was my companion, now i'm teaching him how to cast a switch rod... what I am getting at is my journey has had a friend now our lives will both be changing forever. today kinda sums up how the last 20 years went though

we met a new friend

work required me to be in Cleveland for 2 1/2 day starting Monday at 1 pm. since I was being sent to the area and had a whole morning open I figured it was only right to do some homework for the bake. my buddy and I made plans to drive up and fish till 10:30. that'd leave me time for the other b.s.

we got to the river right on time

about 2 hours in we stopped and had a little casting competition (winner is still up in the air)

we had our hiking boots on and I didn't realize my finger was there

there was a pay off though

that signaled that it was time for me to hit the road and fulfill my work obligations.

after the 2nd day of schooling I decided to go out and hit a river that runs through town. its one that was famous for catching on fire. I like this place. it let me know I was on the right path

no fish were caught, but I can say that this was the first time I've ever wet waded for steelhead in October.
