dead fish, much like dead hookers, are not near as pretty as live ones.

For what it is worth....The only laws these guys might have broken is that they are not allowed to have more than two fish per boat over 22 inches. They were fishing outside the SPZ and are allowed to have two fish per person. People are digging into this to find out how many boats these clowns chartered. Chances are they only chartered one or two which puts them in violation. If they chartered three and have more than 6 fish over 22 inches they would still be in violation. Let's hope someone can get to the bottom of this with more details. If these guys are in violation they should throw the book at them and revoke the Captains lisc.

Regardless.....this is the very reason we need to extend the SPZ farther north in order to protect the spawning aggregates. These studs likely went out and pounded spawning fish that were piled up on a wreck offshore. Sick shit........losers that can't catch grouper or other edible non gamefish.

There is a lot of debate within the scientific world regarding weather humans are " the top apex predator". You should read up a little before making such a bold statement. I certainly don't believe "there is only one apex predator". Science doesn't agree with you either......Now if you had said "humans are the most successful apex predator", you would have been correct.

Wildlife management is a necessary evil. Unfortunately, we as humans have fucked up the balance to the point where there is no going back.

A quick question for you Jdub.....Why do you support the need to manage the permit population by limiting the number of permit humans are allowed to harvest? What are your specific concerns regarding humans harvesting permit for consumption?
