Rest Easy

Gentlemen-
If you can spare a moment, I'd like to request a sip, a prayer, or some good thoughts/juju sent out into the universe for a kind and gentle soul who lost a long battle with depression this week and will be laid to rest tomorrow. She left behind a teen daughter and a devastated family. I knew of her troubles, but they were always hidden behind her sweet smile. She wasn't someone with whom I was terribly close - our social circles intersected occasionally, and I raised hell with her brother a few times over the years. This is more a public service announcement than anything else, I suppose. She was the poster child for "Be kind, for everyone you meet is fighting a hard battle you know nothing about", or the drakian equivalent, "Be excellent to each other, dickheads!"

Good thought for the day. I'm sure fly fishing has kept a few from the same.

Sorry to hear. We all fight our battles internally...it's how we face it and come out of it, if we can.

Prayers, chief.

I see these folks several times a week. Hurts every time I see one go.
Prayers of comfort and peace to you, sir, and to her family and friends.
Peace, dude. Peace.

“Each one of us here today will at one time in our lives look upon a loved one who is in need and ask the same question: We are willing to help, Lord, but what, if anything, is needed? For it is true we can seldom help those closest to us. Either we don't know what part of ourselves to give or, more often than not, the part we have to give is not wanted. And so it is those we live with and should know who elude us. But we can still love them - we can love completely without complete understanding.”

Damned disease is indiscriminate...and it's rampant folks...
Stay near your friends and family...listen carefully...bring cheer...

Sorry for the void that must invariably be soul numbing...
