Without knowing it, I purchased a copy of latest collection of novellas on the day he died - The Ancient Minstrel (http://www.groveatlantic.com/#page=isbn9780802124562).

It will be a bittersweet read knowing it will be his last.

McGuane said that Harrison's arrival in Key West pegged a debauchery meter that was already deep into the red. I try to imagine what those trips were like, but I can't.
