Upon reading pbr's request I began to think:

"Man, I don't know how many times I run into someone that fly fishes at a walk in spot, and when I do people normally keep to themselves around here"

So I was a bit unsure if the whole giving flies to someone would be best and figured I'd send some to pbr for PHW.

Just yesterday I was wadering up to look for some early steelhead (more to cast, than to catch this time of year for us) and a gentleman comes up to me randomly.

"Hey do you spey fish here? I've heard of people doing that"

Kinda hesitantly I said "Yeah I do"

He replied "Man, I've tried a good amount and just can't seem to figure it out"

It was then I immediately thought of pbr's request and was a bit floored it happened just like that- the opportunity was right there in front of me. I was wondering if I'd even get a chance in the entire season to help someone and it happened within 4 days of his post. After a lengthy discussion about type of water, tip selection, and line control I handed him a handful of freshly tied swing flies.

Funny how that works. A lesson learned. :cool

Hey Erkel, don't wear it so high. Mine makes a nice little beer shelf, as I wear it around my waist.

The rate I snorkel these days, I figure two belts can't hurt. Next step is just wearing a wet suit.
