Drove through the pass to fish with a couple of folks whom I'd not met previously.
Shared a campfire, a meal, and a few beers. Time well spent with like minded individuals.
Woke to some pretty terrible spotting conditions. Made coffee and had a quick discussion about which water to fish.
"On" dash navigation.

Maddie hooked a great fish only to have the hook bend after a protracted fight amongst the boulders.
We soldiered on.

Only saw one more fish that day, to which I was graciously offered a shot. After a close inspection and refusal of the first fly, a skinny brown wolfed down a size 12 peacock humpy. Nick grabbed a few quick photos and I sent him back without much fanfare. Then the rain started in earnest so we made our way back to the vehicles and parted ways.
Good times, great folk. That's what it's really all about, right? :cool
