Just home from three days with the grandkids, this is all kinds of awesome. I can't wait to take the next generation.

Well done, papas. :cool

Thanks to Surly and Max for hosting. We also hope this is an annual bake.

I'm late with shitty pics and unwitty commentary.

Day 1
Andy, your Golden Horseshoe that brought you into this deal, needs polishing.
Image
The Commonwealth offers Mentored Youth a license for a buck or two. Offered the C man a pen to sign his all official like.
Image
This is our new friend Jack.
Image
He had good taste in beer.
Image
This is Pete, Jack's handler. He had a really cool snow machine, but he wasn't as good looking or smart as Jack.
Image
After all, he was still hoping to ride the trails.
Image
The boys were amazing on their first real trip with the Dads. I was really taken back at how well they got along from get go. Like old friends. Kinda like a lot of us that really only share time every now and again.
We explored the trails.
Image
Things were starting to green up.
Image
Found bugs.
Image
DSFK
Image
Water was still a bit high.
Image
So Surly stole some wood for the campfire. Hope was nowhere to be found.
Image
Made some dinner.
Image
Got the boys settled in for the night.
Then gave Ol Surly's liver a donkey stomp with fine whiskey and oat sodas.

More later....

It wasn't long after this shot, that we learned that foldy chairs are not impervious to popping embers from the campfire....

So Sat started rough for Surly, The Amateur. He rallied anyway, and served a real kick ass breakfast.

How I missed this I've no idea. Glad to see there's more comin in. You guys looked to be more or less good examples for the young fellas.

So how is Ironman jr on the grill? Taking after his old man I hope?
