Some springtime crack...

All waterways are connected, so I had hoped for permit by-catch—Don quixotic me. Better windmills than what most others deign to confuse…
I thought this not unreasonable, having missed the opener after all, and the main push of anadromous—correction; potamodromous—fish had come and gone given our warm April. So yeah, I might have to settle for permit…
And others, windmills of their phantasm...

I knew it would be a solo blitz across the southern part of the province having failed to consolidate plans with some of the guys. Admittedly the days before my outing were punctuated by life’s demands and the teenager deciding to bring some of his chums over to “hang out for a while”…yeah well that was around 2300. By the time they bugged out I was going on 3 hours sleep. Grabbed a bunch of gear and threw it into the car…no prep, no food, just a tin ‘o piss.

I drove into the weather, but it had far greater significance than I otherwise imagined.

And the windmill is unswervingly patient...

I heard this spot might hold some late ones...

Sometimes you have to give up on people. Not because you don’t care but because they don’t.
But then it's always been the case...

So many flowers fell from the sky that in the morning the streets were carpeted with a compact cushion and they had to clear them away with shovels and rakes so that the funeral procession could pass by. – Gabriel Garcia Marquez
