I'm late, but this week was too good not to share.

Ran offshore with a buddy who knows where to find the big pumpkins this time of year. Caught some on really old glass, I got wine drunk, and we almost sank the boat. Twice.

Also, the toothless tiger had his first Halloween, first fair, and turned 6 months today. 6 MONTHS... gone in a blink but the best half year of my life so far.

A long long slow walk in the spartina gives you time to think big thoughts and put your mind back into order.

The ocean wasn't bad but to get to these fish we had to sit next to a big bar - went from ~30' to 4' deep and was very rough where we needed to be.

I could see the breakers...
I meant the parrot pose.
Not like you can reach down and grab the rod on the river bed!

Thanks for the idea.
Are you by chance missing a San Juan worm?
Or is that the new ZZ Top fly patch I saw at the IFTR Show I saw?

frustrated. After a few "what the fucks?" "i suck"s and a break on shore I convinced her to get back to casting. I clearly remember this question/statement "so you actually think this is fun. These fish are fucked"
