Yeah they're introduced. Our DOW in their wisdom, introduced the Dollies to control Mysis shrimp that they had previously introduced to provide forage in some of our reservoirs. The result turned out to be the opposite. The Mysis flourished and outcompeted native food sources but live so deep in the reservoirs that they're not available to the fish as food. Not sure if the Dollies have help the Mysis problem.

Is it an alarm bell, ringing in the night
yelling, no
PLEADING
for discussion, or at least
a cause!
a scream in the dark
a hand grasping for purchase
deeper
more troubling than any simple fish could possibly represent?

Struggle.
Defeat.
Acceptance.
Rebirth.

I should be a famous writer. I've got the alcoholism and delusional self image going for me already.

Did Zach's dream finally come to fruition?

We would just need to figure out how it migrated up the Cumberland to CO.

I think the square tail rules out most of the char family...

CE says he "knows" what it is, but it looks like some sort of hybrid to me. Maybe Kokanee/dolly.

They don't call brookies in some parts "sqauretails" for nuthin'....

If you live deep you evolve to have a fork, like for a smelt chasin' laker, etc.

I wish the fish was flat, but I think it is some brookie cross; the gumminess of the skin, the white rimmed fins, CE's elevation clue.

Hatchery Splake would be my hunch as it had to be caught with two weighted big thingies which means the pond is more than 3 feet deep or so.
