2017 was simultaneously the best and the most difficult year of my life. Baby Zealand is happy and healthy, I got to shoot some images for some rad clients, met some awesome folks in New Zealand, spent a bit of time in Antarctica, had a good Kiwi buddy make his way to Charleston for his first redfish, had some work published, mothershipped the Everglades with the Chucktown Mingo crew, AND I took my first trip out west to fish with a few illuminati from within this hallowed group.
These YIR posts help me keep my perspective in place, looking back through the year it's been very good, though during all of it I felt completely overwhelmed by having two full time jobs. Seems I made good use of what free time I had, though.
All the best to you and yours in 2018!
Here's my look back, in no particular order...

I'd say so.
That is a year well lived, by anyone's definition.
And thank you for taking the time and effort to put that up. They don't make it easy anymore.

Hopefully 2018 works out a little better for you.

Looks like a year done right. Have you taught little Z to double haul and push pole yet?
