I am still trying to find this tree

Post by K_P » Wed Jan 10, 2018 8:43 pm

It's been nearly seven years since he first posted the thread. I've been haunted ever since.

I'll give you my firstborn. Oh wait--he's nearly 32 now, but it's the thought that counts...

Thats the stuff dreams are made of KP. I remember the original post (7 years ago!? guess I've lurked around here longer than I thought) no clue where to find that tree but put me down as a volunteer for the search party.

Seven years on...wow.

What you know (if the original post had any truth to it at all):
1- It's in Oregon
2- it's near a small coastal stream.
3- Several hours from a City (likely Portland)
4- There was a railroad washout in 2006
5- A road/bridge runs near it.

So, all of it, individually, is pretty general. Taken together, tho, it could narrow it down to an area. Had I the time, I could sniff this out.

If I had to guess, it's on the Salmonberry River....

Is it weird that I knew which tree it was when I saw the headline?

Not a bit weird.

Now, on the other fan, that you're a Bears fan and still knew is the weird part. :coffee

I've seen no evidence of shoe tying here lately.
progression is not addition.
progression takes a cunningness, tact and a certain level of ruthlessness.
