Two pages in, and I hear nothing on the cane. Times up- send it to me.

Such beautiful water. More please.

First day fishing it, worked beautifully. Next two days were tough, kept trying to step on the gas and it didn't like that. At all. Then it clicked, let the rod do the work and more bottom hand. Line just goes out pretty as you please with very little effort. I fell in love, deep love.

Tried a 450 Rage and intermediate poly leader first thing and never changed. Wish I would have tried the scandi compact. Next time.

Not sure if you got to experience them porpoising, but the last day I spent on the York was one of the most magical experiences I have ever had, 10-20 pound salmon rolling and diving every 2-3 minutes, one even jumped my fly line at one point. The one that ended up taking my fly (black and green wet) attacked it from the air from 6 feet away. I stood there in complete disbelief for a second before setting the hook.

Did you guys use one of these?

All the cool young folks are posting pics of themselves doing yoga poses in the extreme outdoor environs over on the Instaspams. You should try that next time.

Still pretty good. :cool

Hot damn that's some purty water! I'm not sure they'd let me across the border but that looks like a hell of a time... :cool

A friend of mine decided to play with one of those on the St, John after getting drunk. He was fascinated with it for about a half hour.......then it made him dizzy and he barfed his guts out.

Best place on the peninsula is an ice cream shop on the North end of Gaspe.

Last day. Fatman hit the lottery again and got us on good water for the day. Stayed in the mule in the parking lot for the pool we selected to fish in the morning. Longest hike in of any spot we fished.

Fatman graciously offered me first pass through the pool (haha, sucker...). Third step on the first pass-through and I hooked a fish.

Three grand jumps and a few runs before the hook pulled. Whoever said to use doubles to be sure was one lying mother fucker (Heero).

We took a mid-day break and headed into town to get a proper campsite for the night and some grub

Here’s your poutine

Headed back and fished the last of the afternoon, through dusk and into night

Beautiful coast on the ride home.

Took a slight (major) detour on the way home.

Maybe Fatman has some pics to share…
