We were told that this is an old warden's cabin. During the season, they
would post an officer at the entrance to this popular pool

The attendant at the ZEC office told us that the steep stairway to this pool
used to run in a straight line to the water, but fishermen were complaining that when they
tripped there wasn't anything to stop them until they reached the bottom. So they installed
some "landings"

We kept passing this campground, and decided one day to drive in and check
out license plates. They were all from Quebec. We were met at the campfire with icy stares.
We weren't invited to stay. May have mistaken us for Raffa

My sons! You forgot to fish a blue charm with a white wing. Is there any other fly?

You've made me miss boreal waters. Thank you for sharing.
