Looking like things are shaping up for me to make the long haul again this year. After missing last year due to some health issues with the wife it's been at the top of my list of shit to make sure happens this year...no excuses.
Tentative plan is to depart mi casa stupid early Friday morning and drive the 1000+ miles straight through from Olathe, Kansas to Buffalo. Depending on how the drive goes, I'll either be knocking on the door of the Skully residence that evening looking for a piece of floor to crash on or I'll be the guy that looks like hell sleeping in the front of his truck in the driveway when you wake up Saturday morning. I'd be ecstatic if I could score a little floor space to crash on for Fri-Sat nights for sure.
Not sure if anyone else is hanging around after Sunday but I'll be in the area chasing fish until at least Wednesday or Thursday of the following week. I'll have a truck full of gas and a cooler full of beer ready to head to wherever the waters most conducive to swinging some of my ugly flies , the passenger seats open to anyone wanting to join me if you're still around.
Damn...it's hard to believe this shits right around the corner already! Looking forward to seeing some old faces again.

This is shaping up nicely. So far I have these days set aside too. Looking forward to fishing with the Kansas City area folks again. At least one of them can remain upright and catch fish. Mostly. Do bring some of that KC brewery wares too if possible.

It would be cool to see Cleveland and my parents again. I’m thinking about picking up the smallest of the 909 Meiser’s for the trip. Would love to drive the bad ass Cummins, but maybe take the train and then use my Dad’s Jeep. Just thinking out loud, 96 hours of work so far this hitch, 252 to go over the next 3 weeks.
