When I say "anything other", I'm referring to beer. I've seen him consume a litany of other fluids.
Exactly. Sippin’ libations.

Friday night I parked under a freeway overpass and shook hands with two guys I’d never met before.

Me and tents really don't get along, so I slept in the cab of my pickup.

May have bumped the horn with my forehead a couple of times, but can't recall tripping on anything. Maybe LTFI can confirm that. Or not.

Kyle dropped the baton when he jumped on the wagon.

I congratulate him for that, but somebody's got to stay in the race.

Not quite as well as Hagen, but yeah. Kinda.

row noun (ARGUMENT)

a noisy argument or fight:

My parents often have rows, but my dad does most of the shouting.
What was a political row over government policy on Europe is fast becoming a diplomatic row between France and Britain.

I’m all for Jose going steelhead fishing more so we get to reap the benefits of his reportage. That camp spot looks awfully cozy.

Joe has a much better way with words, so I’ll keep it short.

After 8 weeks in a classroom every day, I was in need of a break. Originally rookie and I had our sights on somewhere further north, but as the break neared, the weather, the reports and my wallet said no… Fortunately a familiar place looked like it may give us a window of green water and nice weather. So, I shot Joe a PM on short notice and the rest is history. It’s not every day you can meet a complete stranger, drive to a camp, spend the next 4 days together and have nothing but good times. Fuckin Drake.

Joe did as Joe does. He has some cool fuckin camp toys, one of which cooks a mean pie. Another is a tricked out, rockin foldy chair.

We celebrated a holiday and after the banana fiasco, hoped for some luck of the Irish.

The rookie fished hard and picked up a lot in just a couple days.

Joe took off but continued to keep us well fed in his absence.

Day 4 brought a little cloud cover…

And a little luck... blind squirrels find hot little nuts from time to time.

Maybe we're just doing it wrong…

Without Joe we were forced to fend for ourselves. We made do, the rookie threw down on some camp chili as one does.

The rain started to fall as we finished up the last of the whiskey. It continued through the night and rookie awoke to some standing water in the bottom of his tent. Thank god for cots. I smiled and said, “now this is a little more like it, now you know why I sleep in the truck.” We packed up a wet camp and parted ways. I fished one more beautiful, wet, cold, coastal day and loved every minute of it.

Till next time…

Mr. Cardini would be proud to taste Joe's not so average cooking skills.

I wouldn't mind not catching fish with that company and environment.
