Problem is that once you enter NY from certain states you must quarantine for 14 days, coming by air there are even forms to fill out and the health department does follow up, I’ve known people who were called the next day. This is courtesy of our governor by decree. According to the governor WNY has a high rate of new COVID cases and should be tightened up on.
I really don’t understand the math behind it all, I have personally known people who have had the virus and got better, I believe that what I did yesterday was the way to do it, fishing hard and washing my hands frequently while releasing fish and keeping social distance from other fishermen, especially pinners.
My favorite river is getting fish now, very low but we’ve had some rain and it looks like it will be better soon. The smaller creek that some of the guys have liked in the past is very low, hopefully getting water soon.
It’s also strange that though fall is well along there are not too many leaves in the water so I’m not getting those annoying leaf strikes.
Just had a birthday, age 70 and it is getting hard to endure wading or walking long distances on stream rock. I will be going out again this weekend, just got off the river yesterday in time to avoid the downpour, rain came down hard enough I was glad i left the camera in the car. Maybe next time photos.
