A childhood friend had lined up a few days, invited me to join him. All I can say is "WOW!"
Day ! gave us 1 hr before front blew in. Made most of said hour.

Day 2 started with howling winds, so we spent some time throwing huge gurglers at smaller fish along sheltered banks.

Then went in search of some larger specimens. They were also very pissed off at poopers, gurglers and pole dancers.

Caught numerous doubles.

After every floating fly on skiff was destroyed, we used these.

Caught some rhino's.

And some uglies.

Excuse extra code...

Works great, doesn't solve fly line management issues entirely, but I prefer it to a bigass bucket thats always in the way..
If you get 1, get the round model, the square model allows line to get stuck under corners..

A long long slow walk in the spartina gives you time to think big thoughts and put your mind back into order.
