I know a lot of the below is considered mainstream these days...but it was the BOMB when it came out.

Tool....shit, when they came out, it was like Zepplin. I shoplifted this CD.

and the godfather....I consider this one of, if not THE best metal album ever released.

Best song on the album:

As it turns out, God? He was a squirrel. A big 'ol meaty one. "I found god, he used to say"

RFA- like the sig. I have everything from Jerry Jeff Walker, Waylon Jennings, and Johnny Cash to Nile, Suicide Silence, and Slayer. But I can't stop listening to this stuff...long songs, lotta repetition, and grinding yells...

I forgot all about Witch. I had their first CD years ago, and lost it. Just restocked my Witch portfolio, bought both albums today.

RFA - ever listen to Samhain (pre-Danzig stuff)? Caught them twice - kinda hilarious how into themselves they were, Glenn esp.

Am I the only fucking guy on here that listens to metal, especially this season?

This shit is overproduced, in my opinion, but it has drawn me in.....mostly because they are from Sweden, and those fucking blondes tend to care about the work they put out, unlike those on the other side of the globe....namely the Penal Colony.

I guess they can't really be considered a representative of the metal canon...but gotta love the sumptuously creepy stop motion videos...
Always liked Tool, anytime...a nice Hitchmas counterpoint...[/report]
