"Yo!! Assified Raps Vol 1" coming soon.
So PM me your address and wether or not you'd like to send me a flash drive or want in on CD's. Flash drives would make it easier and cheaper but either way, let me know.

Ok, it was either here or New Music Tuesday and this may be fogging the definition a little bit, but that's what these threads are all about.
I bring you the first 'earworm' of 2012, it's from the Converse 3 singers, one song series. Usually they have an indie artist, a techno person and hip hop. This combo is Gorillaz, James Murphy from LCD Soundsystem and Andre 3000. Ride it out to the Andre part, its straight back to the 'Stankonia' days.
Good times..

I'm just now seeing this priceless thread! My bad for not hanging out in the low rent district.
I love all that shit. But this has always been one of my favorites. I'm surprised no one posted this up.Peetso, i want in on this CD thing! Can you do it up like Ramcatt did for the summer mix?

OK, so I' never really liked rap/hiphop. Part of it is that I'm approaching old fart-dom. Part of it is that I cut my teeth on farm-country AM radio (classic cunt'ry, market reports, and Paul Harvey three times a day) While I can appreciate it as a legitimate artistic style, it was too urban and never really fit my ear. However....
I've recently become addicted to the Justified TV series on FX. Lots of country survivalist-style crime and the guarantee of some good bloody action at the end of each episode. Hence, the discovery of GangstaGrass, bringing ToneZ together with Rench. The tunes and lyrics mixed with the hiphop are a real appropriate background to the agro/chemical, Dirty South crime drama:
