Hey hey hey.

I spotted a musky in the lake today ....

16"-18" long. Really green and healthy looking.

He was in a foot or so of water keepin his eye on some bluegill beds.
Totally made my day !!!!!!

I'm so pumped.
Few more years and I'll have some beasts.

I think the "BM" on this mound actually stands for "bowel movement"; one of Franzen's, if I'm not mistaken...

[report]It happened today........

Two seperate follows and then I drifted by a deep wind blown point.
Five strips and I saw a shadow rise from the deep .......just about pooped my pants .....two more quick strips and I watched him lunge after my fly. He dove fast and got into my spool then arched around and did a tail walk. 4 more dives and two more jumps and he was played out. I unhooked him gently and got a quick pic then put him back.
Mission accomplished but I'm hooked good now.

I'd like to thank all you guys that helped me with flys and tips and encouragement.
And special thanks to SOBF for his detailed photography advice.

How many guys can say they grew their own musky to catch on fly. You are one of a kind my friend, congrats.
