You are taking this way too seriously. Breathe...........I'm just having a little fun with some Drakians before I get banned. My online Christmas shopping session is a bit dull this AM. BTW, you do know that writers tend to write about stuff they're passionate about, as opposed to things they don't care about, right?

You used your passion to write a how to book. 'Cuz that takes a lot of creativity and passion.....

It's more of a how, why & where-type of book...so yes, my creativity and passion know no bounds.

How-to writing is gay. Probably not a coincidence.

Doug,

I'm smack dab in the middle of your target market but you've still lost a sale

It's a shame you've laid yourself bare, here, before 'these jackels'. You could of come correct but you opted for something other

The funny thing is, you just keep wading in. Maybe you've quit by now. The pinnacle may have been your use of 'checkmate'. Silly. This isn't chess, it's checkers.

And you suck at checkers

Pretty sure this artists name is Billy Schenck. Go buy one of his pieces instead of this knucklehead's queff of a book

the next weekend was out with and old friend and a fella i'd never floated with before

Image

Image

the big guy had solid stickies and he could cook. steak lobster tail beans and shrooms

Image

we ate well and made ourselves comfortable

Image

we'd float with that guy again. he holds his own and doesn't need to be propped up

Image

about this time, there was an attempt to send the best possible bugger off to a swap in a weird corner of the innerwebs

Image

we had an unusually warm February day. we spent it in the tripper

Image

it was nothing special. the sandwich and actual sunshine were the highlights to the day

Image

Image

she packed us up for the weekend and obliged a request for a squeeze shot

Image

Image

options were offered for class II water. tandem in the bow or solo

Image

her choice. and it took her some back and forth. she didn't fall out of her boat or tip it over. but she did pin on a rock and partially swamp it. she lost a tube of lip balm and there was a brief dip in her good cheer but after a little dump out and a change of clothes she was right as rain

Image

this river's been medicine for us as we've learned the basics of paddling and camp craft. you'll see when you get here, it's a special piece of water

Image

Image

Image

you can walk up there. right there in the indention of the bluff

Image

Image

Image

Image

folks can't help themselves when it comes to cairns

Image

she did allow for one squeezy duck face pic

Image

after that, there were strip pits out of a jon boat. testing a swap fly is hard work. please savor the fine photog work

Image

Image

cf clousers and red's simple shrimp

Image

Image

sunday was a float by our house. some vandal left a fish on the rr bridge

Image

Image

that's about all of it just shy of april fools day. may this fire find you well and make you smile a bit

cheers

A few years ago there was a float that made me want a long skinny jon boat for the rivers. It echos in memory of good times before friends became busier with the important events of their lives. Like dealing with hurricanes, or selling a fly shop, or becoming a father for the first time. Savor the fellowship of the present. Cement it close to your heart. The google eye, the snorkeling, the stories, the game of washers at camp, or the way Red came down late. She launched and paddled brave and solo to catch up with our crew. All of it becomes the balm of life and makes any workday more bearable

there's talent to smoking without drip guards. this was one of the few other paddlers on the creek

just sit up there and guzzzle piss while your brother does all the work

Image

she tried to sneak up on us but tupaq was on watching for her
