I'm editing this after having realized that this is my first post here. Hi, everyone!

I'm a photographer in Alabama, US, located between Birmingham and Tuscaloosa. Macro photography is my big passion, and I've been accumulating shots of critters that some of you may like. Here are some of them. If any of you has any feedback or questions, let me know.

Most of my photos are taken in the field, at the location where I discover the subject. For photos on a white background, I've relocated the subject inside to my studio for photos, after which the subject is returned to its place of discovery (in most cases — sometimes they escape before that's possible). Photos with a black background are taken in the field with a fast shutter speed to kill the background illumination. Until recently, I was using a Canon Powershot SX10 IS camera, with a couple wirelessly triggered off-camera flashes and some Raynox close-up adapters. I've recently purchased a Canon 5D Mark III, in order to up the quality of images that I capture.

I don't understand your objection, Ramcatt. I thought your first comment was a joke. Are you seriously saying that even though registration is still open for the forum, I'm simply not welcome?
