German...I think its the second pic...yellow mayfly two tails...what is that? They have been hatching here in Philly on one of the big rivers in huge numbers. Have the smallmouth going ape shit. I thought they were sulphurs at first but upon further inspection they were bigger and had two short tails. I am terrible with insect identification...thanks ahead of time

I helped stage that Tx's shot..... i caught the bug, well found him on my sandal.... so.... uh....

maybe i can find some mayflys here.....

That's a hex if I've ever seen one. Although germanbrown lives in colorado, there must be a population of them out here too.

Dude, I just shot a gazillion pictures of those bugs to get those two I submitted. Two were kinda in focus.

We tried for quite some time to capture and photograph a little yellow stone and every time I got the shot composed the fly flew off... maybe I should try some of this...Image
