whatcha tying?

kind of self-explanatory, right? We seem to have some impressive thread-wrappers that lurk around this board. let's try to keep your "first booger" posts at a minimum.

awesome idea. do they stay fairly weedless? ride upright? imagine a small piece of lead wrap would sort that otherwise.

Fished it last night for a thorough test in a pond with small gnarly lily pads. No added weight, just hook and shank plus materials. The fly rode point up 100% of the time and was (guesstimating) 95% snag free. I slithered it through the pads a lot, can't test it any better than that, and it rarely hung. I think adding even a single strand mono guard on the hook will stop even that. Fish responded well to it, lots of chases and nips, but mostly from smaller fish that couldn't/didn't get the hook.

Creamer... I like that idea. I'm curious to see how these swim. This offset hook isn't quite the same. I'm not really looking for weedless though so it should be alright.

Same shank/worm hook concept applied to a Murdich Minnow.

It was late, I was rushing and trimmed the top flash a little too short. Oh well.
