Yo 'stone.... Mucho thanks for the care package. More pieces of the puzzle comin' together.

GS, thanks for that. Something simple, yet inspires late night rage.

As some of you may know, I bid on and won the fly that Shunned put up for the auction. I then asked Aguirre to raffle it off, which he did. I was quite happy to have had an opportunity to make a small contribution to a fine cause that several people on this board feel strongly about. Aguirre, on the other hand, felt differently, and today when I came home from work, I found this waiting for me on the doorstep.

I didn't ask him to send me this beautiful fly, but he insisted I have something for taking a small part in the incredible act of kindness that he and the other fine fly tiers who participated in the Atlantic Salmon Fly Swap all contributed to.

I'm a practical tier, meaning that if I'm not going to fish it, I'm not going to take the effort to tie it, but I know and appreciate art when I see it, and this fly is something I will always cherish.

Thank you Aguirre. I hope that one day we can fish together and I can thank you in person.

AJ

No worries dude.
My first month here or so Shunned gave me a grade AAA jungle cock neck for no reason other than I said I was jealous.
I would've paid over $300 for it where I buy that stuff and he asked for nothing in return.
And I'm not the only one that got one.
One good deed deserves another.
That's what this place is about to me, giving when I can and helping out fellow scrotum heads.
I've been repaid in full by members on the board.
Glad it made it.

[report]The high bidder chose the personal, pony express delivery option.

Pulled into a rest area just north of the OR/WA border, rape whistle at the ready.

Found the bidder, made the drop and snapped a quick pic.

No whistle required.

I think that's a smile. :cool[/report]

So how does it look? Did it make it through the whole process with flies intact?
