Classic Atlantic Salmon Flies

kind of self-explanatory, right? We seem to have some impressive thread-wrappers that lurk around this board. let's try to keep your "first booger" posts at a minimum.

Hell my wife even said that was beautiful, and she hates fishing right now, but apparently loves it when I am gone fishing.
Very nice work Shawn. It seems everything you do is detail oriented, perfect.

It would really look super with one of those fish masks. They really finish a head off nicely. Really. Super. .

red hot tip: you can't leave a hackle hanging on a fly and then expect to wrap it two (perhaps three) months later.

two hours later and I'm at the same position as when I started.
the black and gold and kelson and his 'golden hackle from second turn' can eat a dick.

I fucking hate this shit.
I really don't know why I bother.

I've done it. I feel I've done it well... perhaps it's time to move on.
who wants to buy (like) $5000 worth of (holier than thou) tying shit?

cheers,
sooky mitch

ps. fuuuuuuuuuuuuucks sake!

Streetgang's a fucking sage man, I mean no greater veritas than to proffer that "they all look like mixed wings when fished..."

Get the good feathers to CC, and he'll get them to me.

[report]I've never seen a photo of this fly that was particularly pleasing to my eye. Regardless, I really wanted to tie it as a gift for a certain someone if for no other reason than the name. After a near razoring prior to wing placement I have to say I'm quite pleased. This one was a lesson in proportion.
