Garrett's Septober Caddis

Image

A cool October Caddis pattern from Olympic Peninsula tyer James Garrett. Simple to tie, a few different ways to skin it - I went with the pheasant rump hackle because I love the stuff, and I was pulling aftershafts off the skin anyway; partridge can be used for the hackle, as well.

body - chenille orange
hackle - pheasant rump
wing - aftershaft feathers

mash barb, start thread and wrap back to bend; strip end of chenille and tie in

Comments:
-The point of the chumpy fry muddler head is to make it float, adding a conehead defeats this purpose completely (humpy and chum fry don't have big heads)
-You'll find plenty of damn humpies, just not in the kenai itself, just everywhere else.
-I want to swing that september caddis on the Big D so badly
