Do you have children/grand children that these costs will be passed on to or are you just another selfish lefty that only care's about yourself??
Well, with as far along as things were, I assumed it went without saying that I meant some combination of the house & senate bills that are currently under consideration, but if that was unclear, then there it is.
I don't have kids, but if I did, that'd be another reason for me to support this. The country's health insurance system is very, very broken, and it will
bankrupt the nation if not addressed ASAP. The senate bill will reduce the national debt over the long run, so it's actually cheaper than doing nothing.
Again, there are a lot of legitimate gripes about the bills under consideration, but claiming that the costs for this will be passed on to our kids and grandkids requires that you completely ignore all of the facts at hand and just start making stuff up. If you want to go that route, I suppose that's your perogative, but it makes it awful hard to have a discussion.
If you're truly worried about the debt being passed on to the next generation, you ought to be all for this bill, since it's projected reduce the defecit by hundreds of millions of dollars.
