I'm buying a book on Cheney by a Weekly Standard columnist

Post by BigCliff » Fri Feb 12, 2010 10:41 am

...because it sounds goddam hilarious. "Fly Fishing with Darth Vader"

A sample of the author's work-
You ask if it would be satisfying to hit Glenn Beck in the face? Again with the anger. Now I don't count myself a Glenn Beck fan, mainly because all the chalkboarding makes me feel like I'm back in fourth-grade Social Studies. But is it necessary to hit him in the face? I have nothing against hitting people in the face, mind you. I can think of lots of people in Washington who could stand to be hit in the face. The entire finger-sniffing, citation-writing dork squad of meter maids at Media Matters, comes to mind. But why do we hit people in the face? To make them cry. Glenn Beck already cries, almost every other show. So it's overkill.

The book is an extension of this article, which I'll be reading shortly- http://www.weeklystandard.com/content/p ... o.asp?pg=2

Dick Cheney makes RMN look like a choirboy. I don't give a rats ass if he fly fishes. He's the fucking Anti-Christ.

He should be in jail.

I read that article. It's on-line.

SPOILER ALERT

They go on a guided drift boat trip on the Snake River. Cheney hogs the prime position in the front of the boat for the entire trip, even though he floats the river all the time.

He also keeps score, on who catches the most fish.

The guide seems to be very polite and professional.
...WTF? WTF! wtf...

What’s with the libs and terrorist always being down on Cheney?

That guy has more balls in just one of his balls than the whole Obama administration (Pelosi included).

Yeah Dick's a real hard guy. He avoided the draft during Viet Nam with four deferments. Real patriot right there.
