Hahaha...

Image
Exiled Tibetan spiritual leader the Dalai Lama (L) walks out the doors of the Palm Room of the White House by trash bags waiting to be picked up due to delays from the snow storms of last week in Washington, DC, February 18, 2010 after meeting with US President Barack Obama. The Dalai Lama appeared in public at the White House Thursday and said US President Barack Obama was 'supportive' in a meeting that drew angry protests from China
Why is our government trying to piss off our 2nd largest foreign debt holder by setting up a huge arms deal to Taiwan and now meeting with the Dalai lama.

Worse that could happen is China puts the hammer down and Obama is forced to raise taxes...forever.

Aren't you two of the guys that were in support of spreading human rights and democracy through the middle east? :coffee

Somehow this means more taxes. [/takes dump in hand and slings it]

The conservative argument often sounds like monkeys trying to butt-bang a door knob.

Bush meeting the Dalai Lama = Good

Obama meeting Dalai Lama = Bad bad bad

I laughed that the dalai lama had to leave out a back door of the whitehouse past the trash and then questioned government in general? I didn't make this a partisan issue... you guys did.

I didn't make anything partisan. I questioned the consistency of your position. :coffee

I will have to question it also, I am not sure I ever took a position on human rights or democracy in the middle east. Maybe someone can take the time to prove me wrong.

What I do believe in is Constitutional Rights for and only US Citizens and the support of our Republic.

I question myself all the time, and I'm not making any claims. :cool

This thread is like many conservative arguments

Conservative - "libs blah blah blah"

Joe - "Doesn't that sound silly considering...."

Conservative - "What? I love freedom and if you dont, then you are a socialist just like the rest of em"

Joe - "What in the hell are you talking about"

Conservative - "Exactly"

:cool

Libs spending and the HUGE defecates deficit will mean certain tax increases for everyone (that Obama's intent IMHO). After all we'll have to sustain what we can't possible afford.

China owns a whole bunch of that debt so do the math.

The conservative argument often sounds like monkeys Libs trying to butt-bang a door knob.

Only problem I have with Obama meeting Mr. Lama is he made him go out through the trash piles. I don't agree with but understand the low-key approach taken but please let the Dalai Lama come in and leave through the front door.

I agree. the Dalai Lama is a gentleman and deserves much respect. My impression of him though, is that he probably doesn't give a shit about the front door. Doesn't make it right to send him out the back though. I hope the next picture on that photographer's camera is of the inside of his own rectum.

The irony of selling Taiwan all that hardware in order to pay back some of our 2nd largest foreign debt holder's marker is not lost on me. Business is business. We can use the fucking cash right? Or our 2nd largest foreign debt holder can just buy the shit instead.
