Net Neutrality.

Post by blumpkin » Wed Feb 25, 2015 6:18 am

I would like to hear your take on it.

I have heard nothing but bad things.
Of course Obama is all about it.

Carry on...

I can't wait for it to pass so we can see who gets screwed and how bad. The FCC won't release the new regulations until they pass tells me government will be the big winner and we'll need more fees/taxes to pay for it.

net neutrality is an effort to stop the fascist corporate state from effectively controlling what we can and cant do on the internet and extorting us for even more cash to access a rotten, unsupported system in substandard fashion. A system they received shit tons of govt largesse to build out in the first place. it does give govt control (which I dont like either), but the control is over comcast etal, not us per se. when corporations are so strong that they can bring us all to our knees and we have to just accept it visavis their contracts of adhesion, govt is an acceptable use of coercive retribution to FORCE them to shove it up their asses and accept that OUR tax dollars put them into the positions they are in.

Spot on. Its not all good, but its more positive than negative.

I work in tech and my peers are about 95% for it.

John Oliver also covered it well-

That is good news, we should float the Big Mo before Mid April.
I have a boat... Of sorts.

Lando handed me a Killer guide job in Saratoga, WY for the summer.

After guiding I am doing Oct WI Musky and Missouri River Browns.

Tired of seeing AR Browns, that coud be eaten by MT Browns.

So far so good. My interweb is still working and speedy.

The more I hear, AND don't hear, I think the dems shoved another round of "fixes" up our ass for something that wasn't broken. The buzz in a high tech Texas city this weekend was morbid at best but it could get worse once they see the regs.

I'm not surprised to hear that the voices in your head are telling you the same old stuff, but I can tell you they're wrong again.

Comcast (and others) have already done the exact things Net Neutrality is designed to prevent-
