Show your ID to vote, lets hear it

Post by BaggerMcGuirk » Mon Mar 23, 2015 12:54 pm

So, the SCOTUS just said that the 7th district of appeals order stands.
Want to vote in Wisconsin, show your ID.
I believe that there will be several states following suit and writing their laws just like Wisconsin's.

*Edit- In order for the court to hear the case brought up by the aclu, they needed at the minimum of 4 judges to argue the case, so the liberal block didn't think the law was bad. Telling.........?

You're probably right.

But if you think these voter ID pushes are motivated by anything but partisanship, you're kidding yourself.
“Many of the claims of voter fraud amount to a great deal of smoke without much fire…Most allegations of fraud turn out to be baseless—and that of the few allegations remaining, most reveal election irregularities and other forms of election misconduct, rather than fraud by individual voters. The type of individual voter fraud supposedly targeted by recent legislative efforts—especially efforts to require certain forms of voter ID—simply does not exist.”

Why not make the allowed id a credit card, and run $20 bucks through to make sure it's valid? This voting is an expensive exercise.

This and gerrymandering made the difference in a few races that put our current fiasco in the house and senate, in the face of statistically insignificant evidence of any voter fraud.
