It'll be interesting to see whether McConnell & the GOP are willing to repudiate Hawley et al.'s bullshit. Pulling committee assignments, leadership positions, withholding campaign funding during the next election cycle. I'm not holding my breath.

Today Mitch said Trump "Prompted" the Jan 6th Riot and that the rioters were "Fed Lies". I still don't think he'll have the sack to vote to convict on impeachment, but I do think he's talking to Schumer about calling a vote to bar Trump from holding federal office again. That can be done with a simple majority in the senate, spineless republicans wouldn't have to support it and would still get a solution to trump mucking up 2024.
