A few hours in town........

Post by Lando » Sun Jan 13, 2008 10:05 pm

[report]The kid got to fish for a bit before his mom came to visit...........

Too bad, cuz it got good.

We walked up river.............

I stuck three trout before we had to meet his mom...........

I walked back to the parking lot, dropped him off, and headed back to the money shot spot.

Got a couple more.......

I moved upstream and found a few more fish............

The FRM was the ticket today. Every fish but one was taken on that fly. I had one nice fish on that straightened the hook. I should have tied on a new one, but I am lazy. I hooked another pig and had it right in, but the fucker threw me.

I checked the hook and everything was still good, so I fished on..........a lot of bumps, but hooked nothing.
I wonder why?

The sun was going down so it was time to head back to the truck.

My buddy was working over a nice run...............good times.

The son hooked a few, I got into a bunch of fish, hooked into a couple of toads..............beats the hell out of watching football all day.[/report]

If my tombstone reads, "He never ate sushi." it won't be a lie, and I'll be OK with that.

Sweet.
For me, I don''t mind a Korean...fish pole, but I sure as shit ain''t paying $700 for it, even if Harvard grads wove it from actual pieces of the space shuttle and hand-affixed flux-capacitor guides. ~ burgerthumb

Must be using Dai Rikki hooks. Cheap POS's. I hate it when that happens.

nice. love the pics of the river.
Well, I've got a colour telly, and a fridge. I've got some pork chops in the fridge, but the chops keep going off, so I have to keep buying more.

Goddamn. Wish I had a river like that in my town. But we got a decent bar.
I believe in rules. Sure I do. If there weren't any rules, how could you break them?

Well, I suppose that's half the battle won. Now dig a ditch on a hill, put in some cobbles, run a hose at the top, throw in some taimen, and presto! Instant trout stream. I moonlight as a fisheries consultant.
